On Saturday, November 3rd, a fire forced a family of four out of their home on Dufour Lane.
"What really popped out to us is they have children that have some medical needs," said Aaron Jellison, an Orono firefighter, "and have had to have some specialized care during this time while they've been displaced. So it really made us want to reach out to the community to see if we could help get some normalcy back in their routine.
Jellison said already people have responded to the request for help, but more is needed. Cash and checks can be dropped off at the University Credit Union office in Orono. For more information check out the Orono Firefighters Association Facebook page.
