Those events include a gathering Thursday at which veterans were recognuized at UMA's Bangor campus.
Amy Line, director of Military and Veteran Services, said that being a veteran and working for such a veteran-friendly facility is a dream job and she wants everyone who has served the country to know they are appreciated.
"It's nice to take a moment and recognize our veterans that are here," Line said.
"We don't wear a 'V' on our head. We don't look any different than anybody else. We have some of the same issues and challenges. It's just nice to be able to say thank you for your service," she said.
The events honoring veterans will conclude on Friday, Nov. 16, with a free seminar at the Augusta campus about Maine in WW1.
