DEXTER – A 30-year-old Dexter man remained at Penobscot County jail Wednesday facing charges of selling heroin.
According to a statement from the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency, undercover agents allegedly bought heroin from Herbert Simonds Jr.
Drug agents and Dexter police arrested Simonds Monday night at his home on Main Street.
Police said that more than 80 grams of heroin worth $15,000 on the street was seized during a search of Simonds’ home.
Simonds remained behind bars Wednesday, unable to post his $10,000 bail.
