BANGOR – Testimony continued Tuesday in the trial of a former state lawmaker accused of stealing millions of dollars from two elderly women.
Robert Lindell Jr., 53, is facing numerous charges, including theft by unauthorized taking, theft of federal income tax funds and intentional evasion of income tax.
Lindell took the stand in his own defense and testified for a second day.
He claims he did not steal money from the two women .
Lindell says he should have done a better job of keeping his personal assets separated from theirs.
Closing arguments are expected Wednesday morning.
