BREWER – Maine’s gubernatorial candidates were busy criss-crossing the state and hoped to reach voters before Tuesday’s election.
That included Shawn Moody, the Republican candidate hoping to succeed Governor Paul LePage.
Moody stopped at Somic America in Brewer Monday, among other places, for one final campaign push.
“We’re a small manufacturing plant in Brewer, Maine, not a lot of people know that we even exist here,” said Rena Cater, Human Resource Manager at Somic America. “We offer a great place to work, and it’s nice to see that the candidates are coming to visit us.”
“I think it’s important for us and it’s important for all the small companies out there,” she also said.
First Lady Ann LePage accompanied Moody on Monday.
Moody’s Democrat challenger, Janet Mills, held a campaign event last night in Belfast.
Independent Terry Hayes spent the day campaigning in Aroostook County.
