BANGOR - If you need a ride to get out and vote on Tuesday, the Community Connector could give you a lift for free.

The Greater Bangor bus service is holding their Free Fare Day on Election Day.

The bus route includes to the Cross Insurance Center, which is where all Bangor residents vote.

Bangor city officials said it's good to make sure all people have the ability to have their voice heard.

"To provide that access for people to get to the polling place and have it not cost them any money to in order to do that," said Bangor City Councilor Gibran Graham, "I think is really important."

Graham also said it's a good way to show the public the value of the Community Connector. It also goes to Brewer, Veazie, Orono, Old Town, and Hampden.

Polls will be open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day.
