BANGOR - A big turn out Sunday night at James Doughty School in Bangor where a spaghetti dinner was held by former Mayor Joe Baldacci.

The dinner was for Democratic candidates Jared Golden and Janet Mills to make a final push for voters.

Residents from various towns came out to give their support, take pictures, and cheer on the candidates.

Golden and Mills were hands-on, serving spaghetti to voters and giving speeches to get the crowd excited for election day on Tuesday.

"Being an elected official, serving in the state legislature, serving in Congress, serving as governor, is all about service to the people we're gonna bring it back to you we're gonna fight for you every single day thank you for your support," said second congressional district candidate Jared Golden.

"In my office, you'll all find an open door, an open mind, and an open heart. Let's get out there and bring it home," said Janet Mills a candidate for Maine's next governor.

State legislators and a number of other elected officials also attended Sunday's event.
