Man charged with putting cameras in hospital restroom

BANGOR - A Hampden man is facing charges for allegedly recording people in a bathroom at a Bangor hospital.

Police said they arrested 58-year-old David Waltz on Monday on an active warrant.


Waltz is charged with 15 counts of invasion of privacy, a Class D offense.


Police say those charges involve 12 victims from Northen Light Eastern Maine Medical Center.


They allege Waltz used a hidden camera to spy on the victims in a restroom.


Waltz posted bail and is set to be arraigned on Nov. 14 in Bangor.
