BANGOR - An Etna man will spend 44 months in jail for the death of a grandmother.

In September, 32-year-old Richard Lupo II pleaded no contest to manslaughter and aggravated operating under the influence of intoxicants.

Debra Calderwood, 73, of Etna died in the crash that happened in August of 2017.

Officials said empty methadone bottles and drug paraphernalia were found in Lupo's car and that a blood test after the crash showed cocaine and other opiates were in Lupo's blood at the time of the accident.

Lupo was sentenced to 15 years in jail with all but 44 months suspended.
