First fatal moose crash of 2018 Featured

MEDWAY - State police said Maine's first fatal moose crash of the year happened late Friday night along Interstate 95 in Medway.

Police said 54-year-old Donnie Wilcox of Winslow struck the moose and the impact threw the moose into the windshield and peeled back the car's roof.

 

Officials said there were no witnesses and Wilcox died at the scene.

 

The moose was also killed.
