Colby College says it will drop SAT, ACT requirement

Written by

WATERVILLE - Students will no longer need to submit standardized test scores when applying to Colby College.

The university announced that submitting scores from tests like the SAT and the ACT will now be an optional part of a student's application.

The decision comes as part of the school's continued effort to attract students from all backgrounds.

Colby is also trying to ensure its accessibility by helping admitted students with financial aid packages.

The college received over 12,000 applications for the class of 2022, and expects that number to grow.
