BELFAST – The Belfast Airport is holding an open house and fly in day to present the airport to the community.
Many people don’t even know the airport exist.
Displays by various aviation public service organization will be at the event and they’ll also have homebuilt aircraft judging and awards.
“Helicopter rides for a fee for anybody in the public, and we’ll have people like the University of Maine and Augusta has an aviation degree program. They’ll be here, they’ll be a flight school here,” Duke Tomlin, president of EEA Chapter 1434 Belfast, said.
The event is free. There will be a breakfast from 7:30-10 a.m. and food trucks all day.
