Police got a call shortly after 1 p.m. on Wednesday about a disturbance outside of C Street home.
Officials said that a man involved in the incident allegedly had a rifle or a shotgun and went inside the home.
They said that their investigation indicated that the man was not legally allowed to be at that property.
Police locked down the area and a tactical team was called in.
Authorities say the man came out peacefully and surrendered to police.
"This is not something we try to speed up," Sgt. Wade Betters said at the scene.
"We took the time we needed and if it had taken a longer time, that's what we would have done," he said. "And they were successfully able to negotiate with him and get him to come out of that house peacefully."
No one was hurt and there is no ongoing threat to the public.
Police said that the man involved was taken into custody with at least one outstanding arrest warrant.
The investigation continues but authorities say they anticipate charges will be filed.
