Weather conditions affected cruise ship activity in Bar Harbon, where the Norwegian Gem dropped off around 2,500 passengers.
The cruise ship's tenders were able to deliver passengers to land before the heavy weather, but the harbor was operating under a hold pattern for much of the morning.
"We're still a little early for this type of wild weather but I understand it's actual remnants of the hurricane that came up from the gulf," Harbor Master Charlie Phippen said.
Strong southeast winds contributed to the unsafe conditions near the anchorage area.
The ship's tenders stayed in the harbor until the winds died down.
