SOMERSET COUNTY – Three people have been charged in connection with a series of burglaries and thefts throughout central Maine.
Authorities say Robert Tucker of Moscow, 49, and Justin Stevens, 28, of Skowhegan are facing more than a dozen charges each, including burglary, burglary of a motor vehicle, theft and unauthorized use of property.
53-year-old Scott Jones of Skowhegan has been charged with receiving stolen property, as well as two drug-related offenses.
All three were arrested in July and were recently indicted by the Somerset County Grand Jury.
Authorities believe the men were involved in a series of connected crimes throughout Somerset County and into Piscataquis County from March to July of this year.
During the investigation, police recovered thousands of dollars in reportedly stolen property, including power tools, firearms, stolen checks, stolen vehicles, and a large amount of fentanyl.
Police say more charges are expected to be brought against other individuals reportedly involved in the cases.
