A man driving a green Jeep Cherokee at around 4 p.m. crossed the centerline and hit a ditch, which caused the vehicle to roll over.
"Basically, he left the roadway to the left, hit the ditch here and then rolling into the tree behind me," said Trooper David Olmstead, of the Maine State Police. "I'm not sure how many times the vehicle actually rolled, but it was on its side when it ended."
A LifeFlight helicopter transported the driver to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor. The trooper said the man's injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.
