Dairy distributor HP Hood d is voluntarily recalling more than 145,000 half-gallon cartons of vanilla Almond Breeze almond milk. The cartons have a Sept. 2 use-by date.
The company said the reason for the recall is that cow's milk is an allergen not listed on the label.
The FDA said consuming milk could kill someone who has a milk allergy or severe sensitivity to milk.
Anyone who purchased the recalled almond breeze can get a full refund or exchange at the store where it was purchased.
Affected cartons have a UPC of 41570-05621.
