Fire tears through Corinth home Featured

CORINTH - Officials are investigating after a fire broke out at a Corinth home on Saturday night.

 

Corinth fire officials said they, along with half a dozen neighboring departments, responded to the scene on Hudson Road around 10:30 p.m.

 

The house suffered heavy damage to the attic, where officials say the fire spread from.

 

Assistant Fire Chief Mark Roy said one person was home at the time, but got out okay. There were no injuries.

 

He said the home is nearly a total loss.

 

The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Assistant Chief Roy said ehe Maine State Fire Marshall is expected to investigate further on Monday.
