Hermon intersection crash sends woman to hospital

Written by

HERMON - A two-car crash at the intersection or Wing and Fuller roads on Wednesday ended with one vehicle rolled onto its side.

Police at the accident scene said that at about 5 p.m., a Jeep blew through a stop sign at that intersection, cutting off another SUV.

"The Jeep rolled over and the female driver was trapped in the vehicle so the fire department needed to use their skill set to get her out," Cpl. Stephen Marko of the Penobscot County Sheriff's Office said.

First responders were able to extricate the driver, who was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

There were no other serious injuries among the other people involved in the crash, whose names were not immediately released.
