East Machias man indicted on charges connected to December robbery

EAST MACHIAS - An East Machias man who was shot following an alleged robbery is among those indicted by a Washington County grand jury.

Jason Jackson, 34, is facing charges that include robbery, burglary and criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon.

 

Authorities said that in December, an armed Jackson went to a woman's home in East Machias and demanded money.

 

He took off when he didn't get anything but ended up in an armed confrontation with authorities when he was found at a home in Machiasport.

 

Both Jackson and his former girlfriend were shot when officials said he reached for a gun.
