Plans to reconstruct Route 1 in Camden

CAMDEN - MaineDOT presented their plans for a Route 1 rebuild from Camden to Lincolnville.

These construction plans were given at a public meeting in Camden on Monday night.

The plans entail highway reconstruction beginning about a half a mile north of Sagamore Farm Road and extending about a mile and a half to the Lincolnville town line.

Major repairs would be made to the highway as well as two bridges.

The project has been years in the making, and is estimated to cost more than five and a half million dollars.
