Getting to know Maine's new monument

The National Park Service is offering special programs to get people acquainted with Maine's newest natural wonder.

They're invited to take part in a number of events at the Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument.

People will learn the art of "flintknapping" which is making stone tools.

They were used by Maine's earliest residents and a member of the Penobscot tribe will give participants some hands-on experience.

MILLINOCKET-They'll also be showing some special films at the monuments visitor center in Millinocket.
