The town of Unity opened their own open-air market on Saturday, which they call "The Market of Unity".
Dozens of vendors sold everything from seasonal produce, to toys, to clothing made from alpaca fibers.
Vendors came from across the area.
The market's organizer said the first day was a success.
"If you make it, bake it, or grow it, you can sell it at the market," said Larry King, who also had his own "Kings Crafts" table at the market. "Take a ride over even from the coast, it's a real pretty ride up here. And come on down from Bangor."
King said it's free for vendors to join.
The market will be open every Saturday from nine a.m. to two p.m.
Vendors from all around Maine can apply at The Market of Unity Facebook page.
