BANGOR - A Bangor man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for possession of child pornography.

Authorities said the investigation into David Jack, 44, began in 2016 when a little girl and her parents reported he had touched her inappropriately and showed her images of child pornography.

According to the U.S. Attorneys office, a search of his home turned up two laptop computers and a cell phone that contained more than 2,000 images of children engaged in sexually explicit conduct.

Along with a 10-year prison sentence, Jack will also be on supervised release for 15 years.

He once served time for stabbing a man in Carmel in 1995.
