State Police Major Crimes Unit detectives arrested 21-year-old Jalique Keene of Bar Harbor Monday.

Keene was charged with murder in connection with the death of 19-year-old Mikaela Conley of Bar Harbor. 

Conley was reported missing Friday. Her body was discovered around noon time on Saturday in Bar Harbor.

Keene was taken into custody at the Bar Harbor Police Department Monday and transported to the Hancock County Jail.

His first court appearance will take place in an Ellsworth courtroom either Tuesday or Wednesday, depending on the court schedule.

The State Medical Examiner’s office determined the death to be a homicide.

Police have not yet released a cause of death.
