ORRINGTON - A missing juvenile is safe after allegedly crashing a stolen car in Orrington Sunday evening.

The Penobscot County Sheriffs Office said it was just after 7:40 p.m. when deputies were called to Snows Corner Road in Orrington.

Authorities were told that the juvenile might be driving a vehicle on Johnson Mill Road.

An officer with the Holden Police Department assisted in the search and found the vehicle in question.

The boy reportedly stopped for the officer, but when the officer tried to box him in so the vehicle couldn't leave, the boy tried to drive off. He ended up colliding with the police cruiser before he was taken into custody.

Police say both vehicles received minor damage and the juvenile was taken to the hospital to be evaluated.
