Celebrating earth day

BANGOR - We all live on this earth so why not celebrate it with an earth day festival.

The Maine partnership for environmental stewardship works towards facilitating technical and behavioral interventions that help increase energy efficiencies for low income house holds in the area.

As part of their work this year they've decided to team up with food and medicine and the peace and justice center to put on the festival for all to enjoy.

Energy effieciency coordinator for UMA Bangor Darcy Cooke said, "I think it's the future especially energy efficiency and green energy I am very concerned with the issue of climate change and also there are lots of groups here who are concerned with social justice. So we want everybody to be able to get involved and take hold of the future especially here in bangor make sure we're ahead of the curve."

There were multiple environmental organizations at pickering square spreading the word about the good work they do.
