DEXTER - Maine State Police have confirmed that a man was shot earlier this evening at a home on Dexter road in Garland.

The victim was taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

According to our crew on scene, there were half a dozen officers from both state and Dexter Police, as well as a K-9 unit.

Earlier tonight police say a woman called 9-1-1 saying she needed help, then a short while later officers got a second call about someone being shot.

Police did not give any information on the whereabouts of any possible suspect or suspects.

Officers also did not release the names of anyone involved.

Police say they'll release more information tomorrow morning.
