Sunday was the 24th Annual Marsh Stream Canoe Race in Winterport.
The event organizer said aside from the temperatures, race conditions were perfect.
The sprint race is one mile through white water.
While a second race Sunday afternoon was a more than six-mile downriver race.
The race's organizer said they also offer a shorter course so that they have something for everyone.
Organizer Bill Deighan stated "Even though this race has big white water on it, you can come up here and have a fun time at this race and not do the big drops. We offer a shorter course."
There were a couple wipeouts at the drop, but people were standing by to help.
The race raises money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
