Homeowner Tim Jones said "It's bad enough they're shooting at houses. But they don't know who is inside."
Families are furious and frightened, that in this usually quiet Friendship neighborhood, someone's been firing late night shots outside their homes.
"There are all kinds of kids down there, four or five at least. My niece lives here. He has two kids," Another neighbor Dylan Lindsey added, "I just hope they catch him, whoever it is."
In nearby Cushing, a second home was shot with two bullet holes through the front window. Jones said "One of them went into the left wall just to the right of the fireplace. One of them went straight through the house." He added that bullet ended up in the back door.
Jones said, fortunately, no one was inside, but that might not be the case next time. He stated, "One of these times gonna be someone getting up in the middle of the night just getting a drink of water or something, and happened to be standing there and take a bullet."
Investigators believe the same vandals also shot up street signs and mailboxes the same night in Cushing, Friendship, and also Waldoboro.
Knox County Sheriff's Office Chief Deputy Tim Carroll said "If you hear something, say something. Let us know."
Investigators believe the shots came from a vehicle. The sheriff's office increased late-night patrols in those communities.
Chief Deputy Carroll added"It's very concerning. You know, we're very fortunate at this point that nobody has gotten hurt or worse."
If you have any information as to who might be doing this, you're asked to call the Knox County Sheriff's Office.
