Holden man sentenced for causing deadly crash Featured

BANGOR - A man from Holden has received his sentence for causing a deadly accident.

Phillip Tardiff has been ordered to serve 30 months of a 12-year sentence after pleading guilty to manslaughter charges.

 

Authorities said Tardiff was intoxicated when he lost control of a car on the Copeland Hill Road in holden in 2015. A crash that killed his passenger, Margaret Park, 49.

 

Officials originally reported Park was the driver, but later determined it was Tardiff who was actually behind the wheel. Tardiff also pleads guilty to aggravated criminal OUI.

 

Along with his prison term, he'll also pay a $2,100 fine and lose his license for ten years.
