Augusta Police looking for attempted pet store robber

AUGUSTA - Police have been circulating security photos of the robbery suspect, hoping someone will recognize him.

The Augusta Police Department says the man tried to hold up a local pet store.


Officials haven't released many details about the robbery attempt itself, other than saying it happened Friday at the Pet Life on Western Avenue.


The suspect is believed to be in his mid to late 20's.


He weighs about 175 pounds and is around 5 feet, 9 inches tall.


Anyone with information about the man is encouraged to contact the Augusta Police Department.
