BANGOR – Officials said an accident in Bangor Saturday ended up not being as bad as it could have been, after a car rammed into a major business.
First responders arrived at Best Buy early in the afternoon for reports of a man driving into two pedestrians before ramming the wall of the business. Luckily, the shoppers were grazed, and did not need to be taken to a hospital.
Despite his vehicle being heavily damaged, the driver was uninjured.
Bangor Fire Captain Chuck Rodway said “They were examined by our rescue and released. The vehicle was pretty heavily damaged, but there was no damage to the building. The potential there was pretty good.”
Captain Rodway added that an apparent mechanical issue likely caused the accident.
