FRANKLIN - The family of a Franklin man who has been missing for a year are appealing to anyone who may have information about his disappearance.

Russell Burnett, 48, was last seen on February 21st, t2017 on Eastbrook Road walking away from a neighbor's house with his dog, Bevi.

A massive search was undertaken when he first was reported missing to no avail.

Burnett's dog showed up at his home about two weeks after he was last seen alive and Maine State Police took over the missing person's case in August.

One relative, Cameron Wilkinson, said "He kept calling and calling that day and I remember thinking like, 'geez dad, I told you i was busy.' I just wish I had answered the phone."

After a year missing, the family is not optimistic and just wants closure, Wilkinson said.

Anyone with information about the missing man is urged to call Maine State Police Sergeant Darryl Peary at 973-3700.
