To continue to provide a fun venue for families they are holding a "Buy a Brick" fundraiser.
This campaign is helping the library raise $50,000 to create a community courtyard. The court yard will be used for activities like theater, music and other fun outdoor events.
Members of the library said, selling bricks is a fun way to leave a permanent mark. Board of directors president Tonya Parker stated "I think most people don't know, they think it's something supported by the town... Although we get some help from the town... As board of directors, we have to come up with close to $50,000 a year to cover the mortgage and operating expenses here."
It cost $50 for a brick.
Members of the library are hoping to break ground by spring.
