Maine State Troopers practice active shooter drills with high school

MARS HILL - In the wake of the tragic school shooting in Parkland, Florida many families wonder what can be done when the unthinkable happens.

The Maine State Police have already conducted on training session for teachers and staff at Central Aroostook schools to prepare them for threats like an active shooter.

Sergeant Josh Haines will continue training at Central Aroostook High School in Mars Hill on Tuesday, February 27th, at 6:30 p.m.

Parents and community members are strongly encouraged to attend, but troopers say there will be a later training for students.
