More than 158 companies and organizations were on hand to talk to students about what they have to offer and to see if any of the students would be good additions.
That was the case for David Spencer. He graduated from UMaine last year and is now back at the career fair representing Camden National Bank. Spencer said "It's great to see all these kids looking for jobs in Maine as well. You know, it's not easy. People think there's no jobs in Maine, but there are a lot of opportunities here and it's great to see the kids show up."
Many of the employers are also looking for summer interns who could end up being hired as a full time employees.
1,000 students were expected to attend from the University of Maine and other colleges and universities from around the state.
