And a vigil will be held in his honor at the Unitarian Universal Society of Bangor. There will be presentations and guest speakers. Including the president of the Maine Human Rights Coalition James Varner who worked with Dr. King.
Reverend Varner will be talking about the history and his involvement. He said "We all have a responsibility to do what we can to make this a better world."
He added he hopes to see children there so they too can learn about the history of Martin Luther King.
The vigil will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. on Monday at the Unitarian Universal Society of Bangor at 120 Park Street.
