A trooper responded to a home on Dustin Drive Monday afternoon after a burglar alarm went off.
The trooper discovered it was one of eight seasonal homes that had been broken into near Kerschner Road and a 17 year old boy was still inside one of them.
Officials learned the boy had run away from his home in Vassalboro and had been living in one of the homes while taking items from the others.
He's now charged with burglary and was released into the custody of his mother.
Troopers are still trying to determine what was taken from the homes other than tools and food.
