The Bangor Police Department is joining forces with the Salvation Army and Walmart
This Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot of Walmart on Stillwater Ave.
The Salvation Army serves nine communities in the greater Bangor area and all donated toys will be distributed to less fortunate children from those communities.
Bangor Police Sargeant Wade Betters said "We love it we're excited to do it it's a good time. Police work can be a tough career and doing an event like this sometimes reminds you that there are still a lot of people that want to do good in the world and we enjoy hanging out and spending time with those folks."
Anyone who wants to contribute can drop off a new unwrapped toy at the collection site. For those unsure what to buy people will be on hand to give suggestions.
