Councilors were excited to work alongside their two new colleagues. Clare Davitt and Laura Supica join Sarah Nichols as the three female members of the council, something Bangor hasn't seen in a number of years.
Councilor Clare Davitt said "I'm thrilled. I feel the representation really matters, it's part of why I ran. I think we need the diversity; we're 50 percent of the population, we should be up on there. I think that having a younger crowd helps as well. But yeah, I think it's really exciting to have this many women on. I'd like to see more."
Councilor Supica also expressed excitement to get to work. And, councilor Ben Sprague ran his first meeting as chair.
