Tuesday was no different.
The addition of Republican Mike Thibodeau brings the number vying for the republican nomination to four as of Tuesday morning.
Senator Mike Thibodeau stated "What sets me apart is that I have both business experience, I've created hundreds of jobs. I understand the impact that the decisions we make in Augusta have on Maine's economy. As well as having the experience to get things done at the State House."
With last week's announcement from Senator Susan Collins that would stay in the U.S. Senate, it's expected several more people may announce gubernatorial intentions in the next few months.
The primary election is still 8 months away.
