Escaped inmate back in custody

WARREN - An escaped inmate is back behind bars.

The Department of Corrections said Jason Brown, 47, escaped this morning from the Bolduc Correctional Facility in Warren.

He was discovered missing around 1:00 a.m. during a head count.

Authorities set up roadblocks to search for Brown, and he was eventually spotted around 9:00 a.m. in Cushing and taken into custody.

He had been serving time for arson after setting fire to an apartment building in Augusta.

The Bolduc prison is used to house minimum security inmates who have less than 3 years on their sentences.

Brown is now likely to be housed elsewhere following his alleged escape.
