HAMPDEN — A two-vehicle crash sent a Winterport man to the hospital in Hampden early Thursday morning.
It happened just after 6:30 a.m. on Coldbrook road near Dysart’s, according to Hampden police Detective Bill Miller.
Miller said a 59-year-old man was traveling westbound on Coldbrook Road attempting to make a left turn onto the Interstate 95 northbound on-ramp.
He says a second vehicle traveling eastbound turned in front of the car. causing a collision.
“They both were going in opposite directions,” said Miller. “One was traveling straight, the other was making a turn onto the I-95 on-ramp and turned in front of the vehicle, cutting it off, and then they struck.”
Traffic was narrowed down to one lane due to the collision.
Miller said the 59-year old man was transported to Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical center with minor injuries.
