NATIONWIDE (ABC) – Apple is putting some of its massive cash pile to work to create more manufacturing jobs in the U.S.
The company is starting a $1 billion fund to invest in advanced manufacturing.
The move comes amid criticism against Apple for relying on overseas factories to make most of its IPhones and other devices.
That $1 billion investment is just a drop in the bucket when it comes to Apple’s nearly $260 billion cash stockpile.
