ASHLAND – A man from Ashland is formally charged in connection with a drug overdose death in September of last year.
Trevor Thompkins, 29, of Ashland was indicted last Thursday by an Aroostook County Grand Jury.
This follows an investigation into the death of David Sowers, 41, of Mapleton, who was found dead inside his home last September.
Police said evidence at Sowers home indicates his death was the result of an overdose of heroin and fentanyl. The medical examiner’s office later confirmed that.
Tompkins has been charged with aggravated unlawful trafficking of schedule drugs resulting in death.
