ACTON (WGME) – A woman from Acton could make her first court appearance Thursday. She is charged with killing her estranged husband.
Kandee Weyland, 46 was arrested last night and charged with murder and violating a protection order.
Maine State Police say Scott Weyland, 42, was found with severe injuries Wednesday afternoon outside of his home on Milton Mills Road in Acton. He was taken to Goodall Hospital in Sanford where he died from his injuries.
His estranged wife wasn’t supposed to be there, but police say she went to the home Wednesday and left him mortally wounded.
Meanwhile, people in the town of Acton are concerned about the recent murder.
Weyland was taken to York County Jail and will appear in York County Superior Court either Thursday or Friday.
Police believe they know how her husband was killed, but they’re waiting for autopsy results.
The couple also has two children who are now staying with family members.
