DOVER-FOXCROFT – A broken water main helped snuff out a fire this morning in Dover-Foxcroft.
Fire crews were called to Browns Mill around 9:00 a.m. Tuesday. A fire broke out in the boiler room of the old tannery.
According to The Piscatiquis Observer, the flames caused a water main to rupture which in turned put out the fire.
There was one person inside the mill when it happened, but he managed to get out safely and the flames were contained to the boiler room.
