SULLIVAN – A violent altercation in Sullivan this week after a man who overstayed his welcome was asked to leave.
Randolph Garland, 52, is facing numerous charges after he allegedly stabbed a man with a steak knife.
The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office said it was late Wednesday morning when the homeowner told Garland he needed to find another place to stay. That’s when they say Garland punched him in the face and stabbed him on the arm.
Garland is now charged with elevated aggravated assault, criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon on violating his probation.
He has numerous convictions in his past on charges ranging from burglary to escaping from the Hancock County Jail in the 1980’s.
