PALMYRA – Authorities have released the identities of the two people believed to have been killed during a terrible fire in Palmyra.
They say it was Kayla Brown, 28, and her 44 year old husband, Roger, 44.
They lived in one of the apartments that went up in flames early Tuesday morning.
Several residents escaped from the building, but two people were trapped and didn’t make it out.
Officials believe those people are the Brown’s, but additional work is being conducted by the Maine State Medical Examiner’s Office to confirm the identification.
The fire marshal’s office believes the fire started in one of the apartments above a garage where the Brown’s were living.
A cause has not been determined.
